    South Texas Umpire Clinic- Dan Striplin

      Dan Striplin – Clinic Director "Cookie"

      DOB - February 28, 1948 San Antonio, Texas.

      Started umpiring in 1968 with the San Diego County Umpires.

      Highest level of baseball is college and semi-pro baseball.

      Directed umpires at a local Little League for 6 years during which the first 5 South Texas Umpiring Clinics were held.

      Golden State Umpire Camp, Little League Umpire School in Williamsport, Pa.

      Started umpiring at 20. Gave Frank Coffland his first job as an umpire. His first impression was that Frank was not cut out for officiating.
      You never know.

      Worked as a fill-in umpire for the Texas League in 2001
